So randomicity #1) To kick things off I’m going to talk briefly about twitter, so I follow some friends and people on twitter.com, nothing new about that, people do that all the time. Also it will suggest some people that you may want to follow, but the thing is some of the people it’s asking me to follow I already have on my following list, so what the heck? Am I following them or not.

Random #2) Ok so there I am crusing the internet on my parents computer while performing a spyware/virus scan, and while I am cruising the internet I get this update notice for firefox to use  3.6.8 and ironically the version of firefox is 3.6.8 at least according to the about box in firefox, so again what the heck?

and random #3) here is something random, I don’t know what else to say today, don’t you worry folks I’ll find something to say eventually, or my name isn’t Zach Thibeau, developer/programmer, musician.

Also the wedding was a success, my younger sister finally got married and she is now finally out of the house with her husband. I’ll make sure to post again soon, especially for any changes soon.

fun fun has arrived, it’s the time of year where people are getting together and spending time with each other. This saturday will be a special day for my younger sister and my best friend from college. They are getting married, at first I really didn’t know what to say, I never thought my best friend would be getting married so soon and to my sister, time passed on, I’ve come to accept the truth, all I can say to him is welcome to the family.

In other news I’ve been setting up some links etc in the sidebar for my twitter account I have and my rarely used facebook account, eventually I’ll setup my identi.ca account link up there so you guys can stalk… I mean follow me there too. PChat 1.2 is coming too, the built in gtk tray icon seems to be finally fixed in the windows build and I’m drawing plans on a 2.0 series that will be hopefully a complete rewrite in c++ using the wxwidgets toolkit, I plan to try and keep the gui looking like it is now and keep the plugin compatibility and maybe at the same time add new features too it too IE: Possible gui theming.

Anyways I’ll try and post again later about some more updates when I get the chance so to borrow a phrase from a TV Show called Red Green “Remember keep your stick out of the ice”

… And best of all it was kind of him to do this for me, anyways I’ve disabled the built in forum and going to migrate to phpBB eventually.

Also I’m revisiting an old project and that is my ffmpeg2theora project, I lost my original source for the gui but I’m recoding it from scratch, it’s written in wxwidgets so while I’m just making a windows build the code base will be compatible with linux or osx with a few minor source changes for the location of the ffmpeg2theora executable

currently I’m going for minimalistic look for my gui as shown below

I’ll post the final binary when it’s done and when I mean final I mean the 1st and only binary, source for the binary will be included too.

I’ll be working on making a portfolio page too that will display information and links to all current projects I’m affiliated with and some of my own personal projects as well.
